Thank you for taking time to nominate someone for the Aspen Young Leaders Fellowship (AYLF). We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis until cohort spots are filled.
Each year, up to 30 fellows from each of our fellowship locations are selected to engage in 1 year of intensive training that includes:
Monthly seminars
Paid internship
Community impact project
Upon conclusion of the fellowship, 4 additional years of targeted support for degree completion, career development, and workforce placement.
The eligibility criteria for AYLF fellows are:
18-22 years old (as of December 18, 2021)
Residents of the cohort locality who have completed at least 2 years of high school in the area but preferably residents who grew up there
Can be from the cohort locality but attending college within a few hours driving distance
Low to moderate household income background
Ideally, candidates should have a desire to contribute to their community long-term
Grades and GPA do not factor into the eligibility or selection process
For the 2021-2022 fellowship cycle, we are accepting applications for candidates who are from and live in or near the following localities:
St. Louis metropolitan area
Arkansas/Mississippi Delta region
Chicago metropolitan area
We kindly ask that you consider nominating young people (18-22 years old) who have demonstrated leadership potential and a passion for positive, community change. Your nominee(s) will be encouraged via email and to apply. Feel free to nominate multiple candidates using the same form.
